Lean Six Sigma Training Courses – Belts and Certification Levels
A structured belt certification path that builds Lean Six Sigma capability
WHAT IS OUR Lean Six Sigma TRAINING
Build Lean Six Sigma capability at every organizational level
Our Lean Six Sigma approach combines two of the world’s most powerful improvement methodologies: Lean’s focus on eliminating waste and improving flow, and Six Sigma’s rigorous statistical approach to reducing variation and defects. Together, they provide a structured, data-driven methodology for identifying root causes, developing effective solutions, and sustaining measurable business results across any industry or function.
Our Lean Six Sigma… training programs follow a structured Lean Six Sigma belt certification path, from White Belt awareness through Yellow and Green Belt project capability to Black Belt project leadership and Master Black Belt enterprise system design. Each level builds on the previous, developing progressively deeper statistical expertise, lean tool application and organizational leadership capability. All programs are delivered in-company and applied directly to real business challenges.
Build a foundational understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology, principles, and core Lean tools across the organization. Participants develop the shared language, awareness, and fundamental improvement capabilities needed to contribute to improvement initiatives, identify opportunities, and build the foundation for Yellow Belt progression.

Frequently asked questions
This training is designed for any team or group of professionals from the same organization who play a role in, or whose work relates to, its subject. The content is tailored to the group’s context and experience level, so the whole team builds a shared capability it can apply immediately.
Lean Six Sigma follows a structured certification path, with each belt building on the knowledge and capabilities developed in the previous level. The right starting point depends on your team’s current experience and the role it will play in continuous improvement. Our specialists can help assess your needs and recommend the most appropriate training path for your team and organization.
Lean focuses on eliminating waste and improving flow, while Six Sigma focuses on reducing process variation and defects through data-driven analysis and the DMAIC methodology. Lean Six Sigma combines both approaches to improve flow, reduce variation, and deliver more efficient, predictable, and higher-quality processes.
All Kaizen Institute Lean Six Sigma programs combine practical exercises and simulations with hands-on learning. From Yellow Belt onwards, participants apply the methodology through real improvement projects in their own organizations. This ensures capability is built through practical application and translated into measurable business results.
Yes. All programs include Lean Six Sigma certification upon successful completion. Certification requires participants to pass a certification exam, while Yellow Belt and above also require the successful completion of a practical improvement project. This combination of theoretical assessment and real-world application ensures participants develop both the knowledge and practical capability expected at each certification level.
Results depend on the certification level and the improvement opportunities addressed, but organizations typically achieve measurable improvements in quality, productivity, lead time, process efficiency, and operational costs. White and Yellow Belt programs build the knowledge, engagement, and practical skills needed to support continuous improvement. Green and Black Belts lead improvement projects that deliver measurable business results, while Master Black Belts develop the organizational capability, governance, and culture needed to sustain and scale those results over time.
Yes. The training is delivered in-company and tailored to your organization’s processes, practices, and typical challenges. The program is aligned with your organization’s reality, priorities, and team structures, enabling teams to apply the concepts and methodologies directly to their work environment.
Yes. The in-company format is designed to train teams, not individuals. Typically, each group includes up to 12 participants to maximize interaction, practical application, and coaching effectiveness. However, programs can scale across multiple groups, departments, or sites using parallel cohorts or scaling methods adapted to large organizations.
